Competition Law

We have advised parties in the Social Housing Sector in the past on competition aspects, as well as our general commercial client base. Our lawyers have acted in relation to OFT and Competition Commission enquiries/market investigations, and provided ongoing advice to those who hold, or may hold a dominant position in the market place. Most of our work however relates to the legality of restrictions of a more general anti-competitive nature or effect and finding solutions where such problems arise. Particular to the Social Housing Sector, difficulties may arise in relation to Consortium Agreements, information sharing between those involved at the same horizontal level in the market place, and other arrangements, particularly across independent associations.
