Consortia & Collaborative Working

Consortia & Collaborative Working

We recognise the importance of collaborative working for our clients in the Social Housing sector and this is something we reflect both in our work and as part of our service delivery.

We are always happy to work with groups, forums or consortia in providing training or legal services in order to enable our clients to save costs and, in many cases, to increase their bargaining power.

We also have experience advising and drafting consortia documentation, acting for lead Registered Providers and consortia member.

Collaborative and consortia Projects we have been involved with include:-

  • Advising members of several consortia on the terms of their Consortium Agreements underpinning a consortia Framework Delivery Agreement
  • Advising on the implications of working as a consortia under the Framework Delivery Agreement
  • Setting up a Consortium to meet the requirements of the Housing Corporation (as was)
  • Working with registered providers and consortia wishing to jointly procurement works and services
  • Advising on Competition Law implications of collaborative working
  • Drafting a Consortium Agreement on behalf of the Lead RSL and advising in relation to structures for Associate Membership and Full Membership within a Consortium
  • Working with a forum of Support Providers in relation to the consultation with the Local Authority regarding its Steady State Supporting People Contract, including meeting with the forum, advising as to the risks and implications of the draft Contract, all negotiation of the contractual terms and completion of the Contract with the Local Authority
  • Advising a group of community boards in relation to collaborative working options and structures and the issues to consider when embarking upon collaborative working

If you would like to discuss any collaborative working issues please contact Katrina Day.
