Michael joined Coffin Mew in June 2008 and has over 15 years experience in the Social Housing sector, specialising in all areas of housing and landlord and tenant litigation. He has experience of acting principally for landlords in the social sector, Local Authorities and Housing Associations.
The wide range of work covered within Michael’s area of practice includes advice on all general landlord and tenant and housing management issues, leases, leasehold and shared ownership disputes, stock transfer queries, disrepair actions, advice on tenancy terms and drafting (including starter tenancies), rent increase advice and all forms of possession applications including against Almspersons. He has undertaken a great deal of work in the fields of homelessness and allocations legislation including appeals to the local County Court and other housing and benefit related Judicial Review actions.
