Steven Wood, Partner
Steven joined Coffin Mew in February 2008 as an Associate, having previously been a Partner at local firm where he dealt with civil and commercial litigation. He has a particular interest and specialism in housing matters and landlord and tenant law. He was made up to Partner in February 2013.
Steven has substantial experience of dealing with a wide range of housing and asset management issues including enfranchisement, lease extensions, service charge disputes, anti-social behaviour, disrepair, homelessness, rent arrears, allocations, security of tenure, squatters and unlawful eviction.
Steven has conducted cases in the County Court, High Court, Court of Appeal and various Tribunals including the Leasehold Valuation Tribunal.
In addition to his litigation work, Steven frequently provides advice to clients on matters such as:
- Decanting housing schemes
- Disability discrimination
- Drafting tenancy agreements
- Public law issues
- Tenure
- Allocations
