Coffin Mew advises care group on £6.4 million investment by Albion Ventures LLP to create a rehabilitation hospital
The Corporate team at south coast law firm, Coffin Mew, has advised Taunton Hospital Limited on the investment by Albion Ventures LLP and also on the acquisition of an existing nursing home in Taunton, Somerset, which will be refurbished and extended to create a 62 bed rehabilitation hospital.
Albion has teamed up with Dr. Oliver Sargent, Managing Director of family run business, Beagle Healthcare, an experienced care home operator to work together to build up a hospital group.
Anita Choi led the team advising on the investment by Albion and the acquisition of the existing nursing home business. Commercial Property Partner Peter Fellows advised on the complex property and planning issues and Employment Partner Darren Tibble advised on the employment aspects of the transaction.
