Coffin Mew Corporate team advise Tallix Ltd on acquisition
The Corporate team at South Coast law firm Coffin Mew LLP has advised Tallix Limited on their acquisition of the entire issued share capital of Kolectric Research Limited.
With its new MC8020 Covermeter, Kolectric is at the forefront of the rebar detection and location industry. It compliments Tallix’s existing offerings, especially as it has been a supplier to Kolectric for a number of years. Tallix is a creative engineering services company specialising in the design of software and electronics for professional products.
The Corporate aspects of the transaction were dealt with by Jamie Earley, who also drew on support from Tabytha Cunningham from Coffin Mew’s employment team. Jamie said “We were delighted to have worked with Tallix on this deal and I look forward to working with them again in the near future. We wish them every success with this new venture.”

Tallix received accountancy and tax advice from Allison Walker based in Taylor Cocks’ Portsmouth Office, whilst the Sellers were advised by Princecroft Willis Chartered Accountants in Bournemouth. The Sellers received legal advice from Nigel Beckwith of Gosschalks Solicitors in Hull.
