Coffin Mew gains Law Society Quality mark for Conveyancing

CQS_Mark

Coffin Mew, one of the south coast’s leading law firms, has successfully passed the Law Society’s Conveyancing Quality Scheme (CQS). This is an independent quality mark for law firms who undertake conveyancing as part of their day-to-day business.

The Scheme has been designed with four specific objectives:-

  1. To enhance the reputation of conveyancing solicitors;
  2. Provide reassurance about integrity and practice standards;
  3. Create a trusted conveyancing community that will deter fraud;
  4. Provide a more effective service for clients.

The application process is thorough and all those firms who achieve the CQS status have shown that they have what it takes to achieve and maintain high professional standards as well as delivering excellent customer service.

The scheme has been well received and already has the support of the Council of Mortgage Lenders, Land Registry, the Building Societies Association, Legal Ombudsman and the Association of British Insurers.

Karen Webb, Partner with responsibility for Residential Property at Coffin Mew says: “The CQS scheme is rigorous and requires law practices to undergo strict assessment, training, audits and annual reviews in order to continue to inspire confidence in clients, lenders and the general public. The accreditation provides greater assurance to all clients that they have chosen the right firm to help them through the process of moving home.

“It is down to the hard work, commitment and professionalism of our conveyancing teams that we have gained this quality mark. Our success clearly demonstrates our ability to deliver high quality conveyancing across all of our offices.”
