Malcolm Padgett at Tate Modern

Malcolm Padgett, Head of Insurance & Business Regulation at South Coast Regional Lawyers Coffin Mew LLP was a keynote speaker at the recent St Andrew’s Insurance/HBOS Client Event held at Tate Modern London. Malcolm shared the platform with Ian Stewart, Chief Economist at Deloittes speaking to a audience of over 100 leading insurance distributors including Banks, Building Societies, Motor Distributors and Retailers.

Malcolm’s spoke about the “Future of Protection Insurance” – the superb venue prompting him to equate the challenges facing the Payment Protection Market to those which faced Monet and the Impressionists during an entertaining and incisive session which received superb feedback from his audience.

Malcolm commented “it was both a pleasure and a privilege to speak to such a distinguished audience in such a superb setting overlooking St Paul’s and the entire City of London. It was a quite a challenge to weave in John Constable, the entire Impressionist movement, and even the notorious Bricks at Tate Modern, into a serious review of the future for the protection insurance market, but by doing so I was able to underline key challenges for the audience in a visually memorable manner”.
